On the August 21 episode of SBS′ Inkigayo, BLACKPINK took home the number 1 trophy with their new track Whistle. They have proven themselves as a popular rookie girl group by ranking number 1 within 14 days of debuting.During the episode, BLACKPINK showed different sides of themselves by performing double title tracks Whistle and Boombayah. They competed again I.O.I′s Whatta Man to take home the number 1 trophy.
After the announcement of their win, BLACKPINK′s Jennie stated, "Thank you to Yang Hyun Suk president for debuting us. We also thank Teddy for always writing great songs for us. Also, thank you so much to our fans."
Jisoo also expressed her joy by saying, "Thank you to our parents who raised us. Thank you for loving us so much."
