Taiwanese-American singer Peter Ho has revealed his wedding pictures. The 40-year-old registered his marriage with his girlfriend Peggy Lin in March and are set to hold their wedding banquet on September 1.
The couple travelled across over 3,000km to reach locations ranging from a European island to inner Mongolia for the entire shoot, which is said to have cost an estimated RMB 1 million (S$200,000). The photos were released on August 11, which is also the ninth anniversary since the couple first met.
Peter revealed that he and Peggy are not into romantic concepts. “My wife likes ancient civilisations; she likes going on vacation to places such as Cambodia to understand the local cultures,” he explained. “Wearing a wedding gown in the Gobi desert is a pretty big contrast and it’s not the typical sort of romantic scene you’d expect. It’s the sort of romance that shines through hard times.”
Unexpected occurrences happened while they were having their wedding shoot, with Peter coming down with a bad cold, getting into trouble while drunk and their car getting stuck in a sand pit. The pair has been left with unforgettable memories from the trip, “just like how our long-term relationship has been. I’m often not in Taiwan and we’ve gone through difficulties together but our love still managed to grow amidst all this. This is how we decided to join hands for the rest of our lives.”
Their wedding invitations have also been revealed, with the pair reportedly inviting around 500 guests for the celebration, which will span an estimated 50 tables. The wedding entourage is said to include Taiwanese actor Dylan Kuo, who will be the best man.
