The 'Fast 8' star has joined the cast of Wayne Kramer's sci-fi movie alongside Matilda Lutz about a couple who live in a world in which love doesn't exist.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, production on the motion picture, which will play out the final few days of the pair's love before it expires, is due to begin in spring 2017 in South Africa.
Kramer has penned the screenplay for the film, which will be produced by Renee Tab and Christopher Tuffin, who recently teamed up with Eastwood - son of legendary actor Clint - on heist thriller 'Overdrive'.
Buyers will be introduced to the project at next month's Toronto Film Festival, Variety reports.
It's been a busy time for Eastwood, 30, of late as he is currently starring as Lieutenant GQ Edwards in 'Suicide Squad', and also appears in 'Snowden' and Overdrive' this year.
What's more, he is to star in the latest 'Fast and the Furious' movie, 'Fast 8', alongside the likes of Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez and Tyrese Gibson.
Lutz, 24, will appear in horror movie 'Rings' later this year.
