Ciara and Russell Wilson cancelled their wedding twice.
The couple exchanged vows in the English countryside at the beginning of
June but were initially planning to get hitched in North Carolina but
decided to ditch that idea when the controversial 'bathroom bill' - a
new law which forces people to use the restroom that corresponds with
the gender listed on their birth certificate - was brought in there.
The couple's wedding planner Mindy Weiss explained: "They were first
getting married in North Carolina, but they called it off due to the
transgender bathroom laws."
The duo then set their hearts on tying the knot in Paris, France, but
had no choice but to abandon that idea after they realised it clashed
with Paris Fashion Week.
Ms. Weiss told TheKnotNews.com: "They were gonna go to Paris and it
ended up being [Couture] Fashion Week. And it was really difficult. We
ended up in London.
"They wanted to be away. And we found a castle that was an hour out of Liverpool and they had about 110 guests."
The couple - who first began dating in early 2015 - eventually exchanged
vows in Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, North West England, but they
were still plagued with bad luck as Ciara's glamorous wedding dress
wouldn't fit into the beautiful building's chapel due to the hefty
train.
Ms. Weiss explained: "Inside the castle, they had a chapel but it was too small because her dress was 13-feet.
"Her dress in person was so much more spectacular than in the pictures,
though in the pictures, they're beautiful. In person, it was shockingly
beautiful."
Meanwhile, the pair - who abstained from having sex until after they were married - are now keen to start a family.
Ciara, 30, already has two-year-old son Future Jr. with her ex-fiancé, rapper Future.
