SEVENTEEN shines in Singapore

SEVENTEEN might only have debuted slightly over a year ago, but these super rookies showed that age is just a number when it comes to showbiz.

Currently on their SEVENTEEN 1st Asia Tour 2016 'Shining Diamonds', the 13-member group made a pit stop in Singapore before jetting off to Manila for a show today (Aug 14).

Powering onto the stage with 'Shining Diamond', the boys were every bit the showmen with their slick choreography, on-point vocals and ability to handle technical hiccups like pros.

Going through their discography, which included crowd favourites 'Mansae', 'Pretty U' and 'Very Nice', the audience was up on their feet for much of the show and executed the fan-chants so loudly that we can almost still hear them now.

As with many newer groups, their songs alone weren't enough to cover the entire duration of the event, which saw their units - the hip-hop unit consists of S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu and Vernon; the vocal unit consists of Woozi, Jeonghan, Joshua, DK and Seungkwan and the performance unit consists of Hoshi, Jun, The8 and Dino - stepping up to do unit performances, as well as the entire group taking part in hilarious mini-games that had the fans in stitches.

Charades, an impromptu chicken dance contest and more, there was something for everyone in the crowd, which was mostly made up of screaming schoolgirls.

Even after the concert, many of those present rushed to the nearest exit and we later found out that they were rushing to make it to the airport in order to send their favourite stars off to their next stop, with several also packing their bags to follow them as they embark on their maiden tour.
