Mandopop star Jay Chou has been posting quite frequently on his
Facebook account recently, with fans leaving confused comments beneath
his post, as the 37-year-old usually updates once in a blue moon.
In
his post, Jay wrote that he had noticed the comments fans had been
leaving, and revealed the reason why he does not have a personal Weibo
or Instagram account.
“I see quite a lot of fans leaving comments,
previously, I didn’t really post as I didn’t want to be just like
everyone else,” he wrote.
He then went on to divulge that when he was filming for the Hollywood movie, Now You See Me 2,
his co-star, American actor Mark Ruffalo had sent him their group
picture by tagging “Jay Chou” on Instagram. However, it was revealed to
be an imposter’s account, as Jay did not have an official Instagram
account. After he cleared up the misunderstanding with Mark, Jay
resolved to spend more time with his fans on Facebook to interact with
them.
Finally, he concluded his post by teasing his fans, writing,
“Are you guys not used to my frequent posts? Do you want me to slow
down?” before admitting that it was “pretty interesting” to share
snippets of his daily life with everyone.
