Joshua Jackson Has it All Wrong

"I can tell you why we're not married. We're not religious. I don't feel any more or less committed to Diane for not having stood in front of a priest and had a giant party."

--Joshua Jackson on his misinterpretation of marriage, because as we're living in the 21st century, marriage can be interpreted in any which way possible, and not just that which is based on archaic religious beliefs of "owning" a woman or for the sake of procreation.

See, JJ, people get married for a lot of reasons nowadays: they get married for health benefits, they get married for money, they get married for social position ... but you know what? Most importantly, the majority of folks just get married for love. Yup, love. That's why we're winning the war against same-sex marriage, because it's not about a particular religious belief, it's about love.

Also, you don't have to get married in front of a priest for it to be official. It's really more of a governmental thing above all, isn't it?

Do what you want to do, guys, but don't do a thing you might want to do because you think it's strictly just one thing and not another.
