A year after Apink graced our shores with their first full concert in Singapore, the girl group is back to get up-close and personal with their fans. Cheers and yells regaled at yesterday’s memorable mini concert and fan meeting, aptly titled 2016 Apink Pink Memory Day in Singapore.
As the sextet’s five year anniversary falls on April 19, Pink Pandas (Apink’s official fanclub name) had prepared a video of the girls journey to surprise them. A few of the members were even brought to tears as they took a walk down memory lane with their fans.
The group performed a wide array of songs at the mini concert and fanmeeting, from title songs 'Remember', 'No No No' and 'Luv' to fan favourites 'April 19', 'A Wonderful Love' and 'Sunday Monday'. It was obvious that the fans had come prepared for today – every song was accompanied by loud cheers and fanchants, so loud that even the members chanted along with everyone.
Even though member Namjoo sprained her neck while rehearsing for the event on Friday and had to perform sitting down with a neck brace, the group was still in high spirits. Chorong, Bomi, Eunji, Naeun and Hayoung executed their dances perfectly, with Namjoo dancing along in her seat. The members, Eunji and Chorong especially, even broke ranks during their songs to dance beside Namjoo occasionally.
