Ricky Hsiao met the media to promote his 11th album "The Mystic World" and talk about his ideas of creation. He had won many Golden Melody Awards, and an entire shelf by the wall in his studio was decorated with his trophies. He joked that he trophies were fragile and he feared the earthquake most, "Some TV station hopes to take them away for filming, I don’t like it because the top breaks easily. It’s better to just leave them on the shelf." Though still in his prime, Ricky already started to think of his life after retirement. He said, "I think it is so hard when I saw the sad news about the late years of some fellow entertainers." He did not have much material desire, so most of his savings were invested in real estate to emulate Yu Ching Fei. Now he had 4 apartments and joked that someday he’d become a landlord to live on rentals.
