BLACKPINK Achieves All-Kill on Music Charts with ′Whistle'

BLACKPINK has proven themselves as a top rookie girl group by sweeping the weekly charts.

On August 15, BLACKPINK′s Whistle received a perfect all-kill by placing number 1 on Melon, Naver, Genie, Olleh, Mnet, Bugs, Soribada and Monkey3′s weekly music chart.New girl group BLACKPINK swept Korean weekly charts at the same time as their debut. Although real-time charts are easier to rank due to different issues, ranking number 1 on weekly charts proves that BLACKPINK has captured the hearts of many fans at a fast rate.

BLACKPINK, who received attention even before their debut by reaching 5 million views on their dance video, is breaking records as a rookie group by reaching over 10 million views on YouTube for both their new videos, that were released only last week.

Additionally, the video for their first debut stage on SBS′ Inkigayo from August 14 reached 2 million views within 1 day.

BLACKPINK′s debut track Boombayah is an upbeat track that will cool down our summers while Whistle is a minimal hip hop track that is both dreamlike and sexy.
