Wu Chun hopes to have a Fahrenheit reunion

Fans of Fahrenheit, rejoice! Brunei-born singer-actor Wu Chun recently shared that he hopes to have a Fahrenheit reunion, during his visit to Singapore. While there aren't any concrete plans for a reunion just yet, he revealed that the boyband has "discussed about it before."

Wu Chun, who left Fahrenheit in 2011 to focus on his family and acting career also shared that he still keeps in contact with his members, and that they do try to meet up whenever they're free.

"I do miss the feeling of the four of us being together," he mused. "After all, we were together [as Fahrenheit] for so many years."

When asked about what he misses most about his boyband career, the singer-actor shared that he misses performing at their concerts.

"It's a very fun environment. All four of us will be up on stage after practising for three to four months. [I miss] Interacting with our fans, seeing their smiles and feeling their joy."

The 36-year-old  was in town yesterday for the unveiling of the winning artworks of Allianz Global Investors Art in Your Life Youth Design Campaign (Asia Pacific). As the global ambassador for the company, he was all smiles as he turned up for the event clad in sportswear.

During the  group door-stop interview, Wu Chun also shared that his wife and two kids, Wu Xinyi (nicknamed Nei Nei), 5, and Max Wu, 2, were in Singapore as well. The 36-year-old divulged that apart from bringing his family around, they will also be meeting up with Xinyi's good friend, who's a Singaporean.

The singer-actor also mentioned that he has been looking at properties in Singapore, as he heard that housing prices have dropped recently. However, he has yet to decide whether to invest in a property here.

Similarly, he is open to the idea of setting up shop (in case you didn't know, he is a gym owner) here in Singapore, although he would like to have an "experienced business partner" to help him along.

The father-of-two also revealed that his daughter, Xinyi, is quite a big fan of his idol drama serials.

While she doesn't dare to watch his recent action flicks, the 5-year-old "likes to watch my idol dramas, [particularly] those with loads of romance."

"Sometimes she'll tease me and go 'Eww, kissing, kissing,'" Wu Chun laughs, as he imitates how Xinyi will point at the television screen. "But [at the end of the day], she knows that I'm just acting, [so she won't get jealous]."

However, the 5-year-old still enjoys reruns of Chinese reality show, Dad Is Back, more. The father-daughter duo had appeared on the first season of the show, which was modeled after the hugely popular Korean reality show, The Return Of Superman, where celebrity dads are left alone with their children for 48 hours.

The singer-actor revealed that he "doesn't mind going on the show again."

"I want something that doesn't restrict or make them have to act. It's a good experience [to bring them on the show]," he shared, adding that he has been approached by TV producers before, though nothing is confirmed yet.

The family man also shared that both Xinyi and Max has inherited his playfulness and are extremely active kids.

"It's not simple, taking care of them. They can't sit still for more than 10 seconds. This morning, Xinyi just broke a cup during breakfast!"

Wu Chun also shared that he currently does not have any plans to expand his brood.

"In the past, I actually wanted five kids," he laughed, before commenting that he feels having two children is enough, as he wants to be able to dedicate his time to them.

"I've learnt to sacrifice a lot of stuff, including my dreams [since becoming a parent]. As my kids are my first priority, I don't even go out at night now. I want to be able to fall asleep with them at night, [so I've sacrificed my leisure time]," he shared.

Similarly, Wu Chun also expressed that he does not wish to film a drama right now, as filming takes around three to four months. Instead he now focuses on movies, as they do not take as long to film.

This year alone, the 36-year-old has filmed two Hollywood movies - sci-fi thriller NEST and sports film My Other Home.

"Max is two and a half years old now, so we're more relaxed now. He's slowly becoming more independant," the proud father shared, citing it as one of the reason why he is gradually making his entertainment comeback.
