After their private wedding ceremony in Bali, Indonesia, newly-weds
Ruby Lin and Wallace Huo returned to Taiwan for a celebratory dinner.
The 29-table affair was graced with the presence of celebrities like
Jolin Tsai, Patty Hou, Tiffany Hsu, Leo Ku and Peter Ho.
The venue
was decorated with hundreds of pink and beige roses and scented
candles. As the theme of the night was ‘Wings of Bliss’, numerous white
feathers were scattered around the room, signifying their many years of
friendship.
At the dinner, Jolin and Patty, who were once said to
have fallen out with each other over Mandopop star Jay Chou, also
snapped a picture together, dispelling the rumours of discord between
them.
At around seven at night, Ruby made her entrance in a
specially-ordered Elie Saab, flower-printed lace gown, hand-in-hand with
Wallace.
Wallace also took the opportunity to express his wonder
at their relationship, saying, “It’s amazing, [We’ve] known each other
for so long, from friends who had no common topics, to lovers, and now,
husband and wife. It’s really amazing.”
The newly-weds were also coerced into kissing for 10 seconds by the host, as their guests cheered wildly.
Ruby, who had reportedly said that they’ll “have a family of three soon” on Sunday, seemed to sport a little baby bump as well.
Good
friend Jolin also let slip her wish for the couple’s baby to “be very
healthy” during her speech on-stage. After realising her faux pas, the
35-year-old immediately smiled guiltily, while the host exclaimed,
“[You] can’t say this yet!”
