The businessman, who was only identified by the first letter of his surname, is known to the media as Mr. C. He is said to own a listed company and has a net worth of more than NT$10 billion (S$430 million). He is reported to have wanted to meet Chiling for some time but was unable to until a mutual friend introduced them. He is further described to share Chiling’s love for arts and has been said to have been spotted on separate occasions dining with her.
Chiling’s good friend, however, expressed, “Chi-ling swears that she has never even met him.”
In related news, Edison Chen went on an online rant in July against Chiling, after which both Chiling and Jerry responded to his tirade. While she has been outwardly calm about his outburst, she is said to have revealed that she was upset by what happened after she had a few drinks with film producer Chiu Li-Kwan.
According to reports, she wondered why she was the target of such attacks and expressed her unhappiness that her label and manager did not stand up for her immediately after the incident.
