Ron Ng Setting Up Own Studio, Wants to Work with Tavia Yeung Again

Ron Ng (吳卓羲) said he will be establishing his own studio and hopes to recruit good friends Tavia Yeung (楊怡) and Him Law (羅仲謙) to help him out.

The former TVB actor, who attended an event for Ronald McDonald House Charities on Sunday, shared to reporters that he is in the midst of establishing his own independent studio with his manager.

“I don’t think I will sign with any agency for now,” said Ron. “I plan to start my own studio with my manager. I’m currently working on it.” Would he consider asking Tavia Yeung, who is also a free agent, to help him out as well? “We used to be under the same manager and everything’s just in the discussion stage right now. If it’s possible, that’d be great!”

Ron left TVB in 2015 after he opted out to renew his management contract. Ron had been with TVB since 1998, his year of debut.

On his reasons for leaving his mother station, Ron said he hopes to try new things elsewhere, and wants to find a new breakthrough in his acting career. The actor has just finished filming the Hong Kong action film Shock Wave <拆彈專家>, a movie produced by and starring Andy Lau (劉德華).
Next month, Ron will be in Kuala Lumpur for a concert with Tavia Yeung, Ruco Chan (陳展鵬), and Nancy Wu (胡定欣). He shared he has been diligently training his body in the past few weeks and lost over 10 pounds.

When questions about his love life popped up, Ron admitted, “Still blank. I’m always busy and working, so I would like to have someone who can take care of me.”
