Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi recently took part in a photoshoot for a
fashion magazine, her first since giving birth late last year.
The
actress also posed for a picture together with the crew after the
shoot. Ziyi was seen posing with her arms around her stepdaughter Apple
Wang in the picture, showing off their close relationship.
Apple’s
biological mother, Chinese model Ge Huijie has always been critical of
Apple’s father, Chinese singer Wang Feng, and Ziyi. The 29-year-old
often takes to her Weibo to lash out at the couple although she declared
a ‘ceasefire’ earlier last month.
Recently,
it was reported that the model was detained by the police for suspected
drug abuse. In response to the news, netizens commented that Apple
might be in better hands if she was looked after by Ziyi due to Huijie’s
wayward behaviour.
Huijie used to date Wang Feng and gave birth
to their daughter in 2005. The couple went separate ways shortly after
and Wang Feng raised Apple on his own.
After Wang Feng split from
Huijie, he went on to marry Kang Zuoru, who gave birth to his second
daughter, Jingyi in 2012. The couple went through a divorce the year
after and Ziyi and Wang Feng tied the knot last year after the Chinese
rocker proposed at her birthday. The couple welcomed their first child, Xing Xing, in December the same year.
