Following Ruby Lin and Wallace Huo’s surprise announcement about their upcoming nuptials at the end of the month, the duo are suspected to be expecting a bun in the oven together.
The couple made the announcement on Tuesday this week through their respective work studios, almost two months after they announced their relationship on ‘Confession Day’ in China.
While
some have speculated that the rushed wedding was due to the fact that
the couple had to report back to work for filming in August, others have
guessed that the duo might be expecting a baby early next year.
Ruby is said to have sworn off alcohol for two months and she was
spotted with a rounder figure in Paris, France recently as well, adding
fuel to the rumours of a shotgun marriage.
The couple’s close
friends also declined to comment on the matter, while both Ruby and
Wallace’s management companies would only say that they will “inform
everyone when they have good news”.
The couple’s wedding is said
to be a low-key and private affair which will be attended by their
parents and close friends only. Wallace is said to have declined any
sponsorship offers for their big day and will be picking out their
wedding rings himself.
Ruby’s close friend, Taiwanese actress Shu Qi is still in the midst
of clearing her schedule for the big day. On the other hand, Wallace’s
close friend, Chinese actor-singer Hu Ge, will not be attending it,
though he did share Wallace’s post announcing his upcoming wedding,
wishing the couple well.
Additionally, as Hu Ge and Wallace once
made a pact to “get together if we’re both single in five years’ time”,
numerous fans of the ‘couple’ also left comments on Hu Ge’s Weibo once
the news of Wallace’s wedding hit the press, lamenting the fact that he
is always the “eternal best man”.
