Taiwanese actor, singer and television host Alien Huang, 32, was at Taipei’s Huashan 1914 Creative Park yesterday to launch a photography exhibition, which included full-frontal nude shots of him taken in Tokyo.
This is the most he’s bared for art so far.
Alien showed off a daring nude photo of him that had a cartoon image of a monkey covering his bits. Asked how he felt about having his body hair on show, he said, “It’s all right — hair on my head is hair too.”
He revealed that before the photoshoot he did shave, and he joked that “it’s just like shaving your legs, it’s a little prickly,” which got the audience laughing.
But one member of the audience mistakenly addressed Alien as “Xiao Zhu (Little Pig),” which is the nickname of his one-time hosting partner Show Luo, 36.
Alien resolved the awkwardness with good humour. “It’s normal, I’ve gotten used to it,” he said. “I would like to watch The Mermaid, and there’s always somewhere to see it.”
Show has a role in Stephen Chow’s fantasy film The Mermaid, released in Singapore on February 8.
