Donnie Yen and “Bad Boy”

Donnie Yen showed up at the racetrack as the ambassador of the derby today. As the horse “Bad Boy” owned by him and Karson Choi was scheduled to compete tonight, he was asked if he’d feel nervous. He said, “There’s nothing to be nervous about. The main purpose is to participate in the race and the sportsmanship is most important.” He joked that the horse even had muscles like he did. It was the first time that he attended an event together with his younger sister Chris Yen. He revealed that she was a well-trained martial artist and would be arranged to appear in a movie by his company. When asked if they would play together, Donnie said, “My wife is fair to anyone. So she will not have more opportunities and must do her best.” When asked about the rumor about the false box office accomplishment of “Ip Man 3” in China, Donnie said nonchalantly, “The actors do what they must do. A movie may be released in a different way in different places. There’s nothing to be said about ‘Ip Man 3’ because it has broken many records and nominated for some awards. The box office means nothing, and the viewers’ feeling is more important.”
