The idol has been plagued with rumours of him leaving the group due to recent behavior
Fans left hanging on Hyunseung’s future with groupmates BEAST can
finally breathe a sigh of relief. His recent absence from group
activities, such as the BEAST 1st Fan Meeting in Manila on
March 19, sparked a new wave of rumours that he will be leaving the
group - speculations that label Cube Entertainment have flatly denied.
For
the event in Manila, there was no official word from the promoter nor
company on his absence but promotional posters for the event included
all six members of the boy group.
On March 19, the Taiwanese organiser published a statement to announce that he will also not attend ALL THE BEAST: 2016 FANMEETING IN TAIWAN.
Apologising for the delay in the confirmation, they stressed that they
were awaiting the official response from the label on Hyunseung’s
attendance. The event is slated to take place on April 4.
In a
turn of events, Cube announced today (March 21) that Hyunseung will
indeed attend the event in Taiwan, stressing that recent rumours that he
will be leaving the group are completely unfounded.
Their
statement was in response to earlier rumours that he is set to announce
his departure from the group, and that BEAST was in the midst of
preparations to promote as a five-man group with immediate effect.
Hyunseung
drew massive flak for missing the group’s fan meeting in Seoul last
year unannounced. In addition, photos of him reportedly spending time
with an unidentified female circulated at the same time, with some
speculating that he was no longer interested in being part of BEAST.
