At
an event organized by "Le French May", Karena Lam said she had visited
France earlier with a team for cultural exchange. She had promised her
daughter that she would take Paris back, and so she bought a snow globe
with the Eiffel Tower inside for her daughter.
Her daughter saw it and
said excitedly, "Mom! You really brought Paris back!" Karena said her
daughter had never been to France and all she knew about France was the
Eiffel Tower, so Karena hoped to go there again when her daughter grew
up. Talking about Jessie Li’s winning the Best Leading Actress Award of
Hong Kong Film Directors’ Guild for the movie "Port of Call", Karena
said congratulations and praised Jessie for her natural acting skill.
As
the favorite for the Hong Kong Film Awards nomination, Karena was asked
if she felt threatened by Jessie and she replied, "Anyone is possible
to win, and I don’t have great expectation for it."
